Removing Hazardous Trees

Safety counts when it comes to tree and stump removals, so call on the expert arborists at Country Tree Services. We serve the community of Orange and surrounding areas with precise removals that protects people and infrastructure.

Below are some of the reasons why trees need to be removed as part of a carefully managed land clearing program:

  • Dead: Dead trees are not just unsightly, but they also become home to unwanted pests—particularly termites. Removing dead trees gives other younger species the opportunity to grow in their place.
  • Diseased: Trees carrying diseases may spread to neighbouring trees that will affect an entire grove.
  • Dangerous: Trees close to homes and important infrastructure need to be safely removed before they cause damage or injury.

Tree Lopping vs Tree Removing

Many people use the term tree lopping to mean tree removal (which is why we've used it here), but they are, in fact, two very different practices which have distinct effects on the health of the plant.

We consider tree lopping, otherwise known as tree topping, a poor practice for arborists.

If a tree is dead, diseased, or a danger to people and infrastructure, then it should be removed completely. Lopping simply removes the green canopy and exposes the tree to open wounds and diseases that might affect neighbouring plants. Not to mention that tall remaining stumps become future fall hazards.
